This year’s Listenings are centred upon the relationship between music, space and light. 

During the Concerts to be toured we will follow the trail blazed by the senses of hearing and sight,

Let’s listen from near and far. Let’s glance from a distance or approach the performer within arm’s reach. Let’s close our eyes or cover our ears.

We can’t be present in each exhibition hall at once. Do we then miss out on a picture or sculpture? Is work of art exhibited in a gallery ‘performed’ only when we see it or maybe also when we aren’t there? Does the same apply to music and performers, who are held still as if they were sculptures in exhibition halls?
