Meeting with the creators of the "Square" installation
Sunday, 11th of March, 12:00 pm.
The "Square” installation was made in Tainan in cooperation with the local artistic community, who were not only producers and film crew, but also actors and protagonists in the film. We invite you to the meeting with Ting-Yu Huang, Chi-Tung Liu, Liao Xiu-Hui and Karolina Breguła, which will be an occasion to talk about the making of the film and a community working mode, distinctive for the Fotoaura Institute. Together, we will take a look into the Tainan’s reality presented in the work by Karolina Breguła and try to answer how the installation "Square” could be understood by the Taiwanese, Tainan community and the visitors in Królikarnia.
The Institute of Photography “Fotoaura” works in Tainan since 2009 in the field of visual arts’ education and promotion, presenting contemporary artist to the wide audience. The institute is a place of dialogue seeking new interpretations of art, providing artists with an exchange space by organizing exhibitions, seminars and performative actions. The Institute combines numerous independent non-profit organizations by creating a network of artistic practices, exhibition spaces and equipment exchange, minimizing resources and maximizing production capabilities.
