Music happens in time. It is less obvious to describe it as a phenomenon occurring in space, which can be a subject, substance and axis for development of sound art. Hearing without seeing the sound source and liberation of a listener from a seat X in a row Y, from strictly prescribed hall and audience, are the main principles of the “Hearings” mini-festival.
John Tilbury and Hubert Zemler, two versatile composers, will play together in Królikarnia. They will hear each other without actually seeing each other. A trio, Barbara Kinga Majewska, Magdalena Kordylasińska and Emilia Sitarz, will demonstrate that space can also be composed by means of music score. They will perform two space pieces specially prepared for the Królikarnia interior by Jane Stanley and Wojciech Ziemowit Zych. How will new works by Dobromiła Jaskot and Dominik Karski sound in the original acoustic conditions of the palace? We will see (hear) for ourselves at the concert of Flute o’clock duo.

Organizers: Kwadrofonik, 4.99 Foundation, Bôłt Records, Królikarnia.
