Performative tour for people with vision defects
Królikarnia celebrates its 50th anniversary. On this occasion we have prepared an exhibition consisting of sculptures that visual artist Zbigniew Libera selected from museum storerooms. He has grouped them into various subjects and personal associations, referring to the artists’ eventful biographies. Touring the exhibition, we will explore the works of the more famous sculptors, such as Xawery Dunikowski and Alina Szapocznikow, and the less famous sculptors, such as Magdalena Gross and Maria Albin-Bończa Boniecki. It will be made possible to touch some avant-garde compositions as well as realistic figures. To get ever more affected by the works, willing visitors will take part in group and pair activities, which will let us answer questions about how sculptures can influence us. Can they, despite standing on plinths, impose themselves on us? What is the difference between our body at the exhibition from the body sculpted in stone?
